Select Bajaj dealerships have commenced deliveries of the new Pulsar NS200. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 96,443 (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai), which is Rs 5,000 more than the older model.
The new Pulsar NS200 gets two new dual-tone paint schemes to set it apart from the older model. Also new is a ‘200’ decal on the tank extension, a belly pan, rim tapes and a tank pad similar to the one on the Dominar 400.
Under the skin is 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Contrary to rumours, the engine does not get fuel-injection, though it has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms. Power output is same as before, the engine delivers 23bhp and 19Nm of torque. Bajaj is not offering ABS for now, even as an optional extra.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is available in red/silver and black silver paint schemes. It has been positioned between the Pulsar 220F and the Pulsar AS200. The Pulsar NS200 competes with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the recently launched Yamaha FZ25.
