- Both bikes available in the new Pewter Grey colour
- Prices remain the same
- No mechanical changes
Bajaj Auto has updated the colour palette of its NS twins, the Pulsar NS160 and the Pulsar NS200. Both bikes are now available in the new Pewter Grey shade. While a colour variant with this name was already available, the company has recently changed the colour pattern and graphics of the bodywork.
The new Pewter Grey trim looks quite eye-catchy with a grey shade for its body panels with subtle streaks of blue on the headlamp, fuel tank, tail section, underbelly cowl, and alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the other three colour options for the Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 remain the same. These include Ebony Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Cocktail Wine Red. While the prices for the NS160 start from Rs 1.25 lakh, the NS200 starts from Rs 1.41 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mechanically, both bikes remain unchanged. The Pulsar N160 is powered by a 160.3cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 17.03bhp and 14.6Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The NS200, meanwhile, runs on a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 24.13bhp and 18.74Nm and is linked with a six-speed gearbox. Both bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by upside-down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 competes against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Honda Hornet 2.0 while the Pulsar NS160 locks horns with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZ S FI, and Suzuki Gixxer.
