The Pulsar P150 is the newest entrant in Bajaj’s portfolio and carries forward the legacy of one of the brand’s most successful products ever. After officially launching the motorcycle last month, the company recently invited us for the first ride review of the bike which you can read here. For now, we give you a quick rundown of what it offers along with our handpicked collection of its images from the review.
The new P150 boasts the new-age Pulsar styling which resembles the N160, especially around the fuel tank section and the tail. The headlamp, however, is a relatively simpler-looking single-piece unit.
The one we reviewed was the dual-disc version with a clip-on handlebar and split seat. Bajaj also offers a single disc trim with a single seat and a conventional tubular handlebar.
On the feature front, the motorcycle is just about average with an LED headlamp and tail lamp, a USB charging port, single-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Powering the P150 is a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 14.5bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000rpm and it comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
This is a heavily revised engine that clings on to an all-new chassis both of which concertedly deliver a more engaging riding experience than the bike’s predecessor.
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tyre sizes varying as per the variant. These wheels are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock with preload adjustability.
The dual-disc trim of the Bajaj Pulsar P150 is priced at Rs 1,19,757 (ex-showroom) and it competes against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and Honda Unicorn.
