Bajaj Auto has updated its India website with the specifications of its BS6 compliant motorcycles. The updated website reveals the latest technical specifications of the company’s fully-faired 200cc motorcycle, the RS200. As listed on the India website, the BS6 compliant RS200 gets a dual-channel ABS. Its predecessor, in comparison, was available with single-channel ABS. The braking setup includes a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm rotor at the back.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 BS6 is priced Rs 1,44,966 (ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from the addition of the dual-channel ABS, the company has made changes to the engine to comply with the latest emission norms. The updated motor continues to deliver the same power output numbers as the BS4 model. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection system makes 24.1bhp at 9,750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8,000rpm. While the power output remains unchanged, the motorcycle has gained 2kg weight during the BS6 transition.
The styling has remained unaltered, and the motorcycle continues to feature the same design as its predecessor. Thus, the RS200 BS6 features twin projector headlights with LED DRLs, an LED taillight, LED indicators, clip-on style handlebars and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The motorcycle is available in three colour options – Graphite Black, Racing Red and Racing Blue.
