Bajaj has revealed that the Pulsar RS200 has clocked over 3,500 bookings, since it was launched in India less than a month ago. This overwhelming demand has led to a high waiting period of over two weeks for the bike, though the Pune-based manufacturer hasn’t disclosed the split of the base model and the ABS-equipped variant.
Based on the Pulsar 200NS, the Pulsar RS200 is Bajaj’s first ever fully-faired motorcycle. It is powered by a fuel-injected version of the same 199.5cc single-cylinder mill from its naked sibling. This unit produces 24bhp and 19Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.
The ‘fastest Pulsar ever’ had managed to garner the first 1,000 bookings in less than a week of its launch, though the demand seems to have dimmed marginally past the first week. The Pulsar RS200 competes with other small capacity fully-faired motorcycles in this price range, like the Honda CBR150R and the Yamaha YZF-R15.
