The first pictures of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 in a red livery have been leaked on the internet. The pictures have an industrial environment in the backdrop, hinting thatthey may have been taken at Bajaj’s manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune.
The Pulsar RS200 will be based on the same tubular spaceframe from the naked Pulsar NS200, though it might be revised to suit the supersports character of the Pulsar RS200. While the technical details haven’t been revealed yet, we expect the Pulsar RS200 to be powered by the same 199.5cc triple-spark single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 23bhp and 18Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed transmission.
Bajaj will also produce the fuel-injected version of the Pulsar RS200 at its factory in Chakan, though these models have been earmarked just for the Turkish market. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will be launched in India on March 26. As of now, it has been confirmed that the Pulsar RS200 will be available in four paint schemes – black, yellow, blue and red. The Pulsar RS 200 will compete with other 150cc fully-faired motorcycles like the Yamaha YZF-R15 and the Honda CBR150R.
