Bajaj exhibited the Pulsar SS200, Pulsar 150NS and some more products at a trade fair in Turkey recently. According to reports, the company might launch the SS200 in turkey in June, this year, at a price of 9,999 TL (Rs 2.38 lakh).
The Bajaj Pulsar SS200 will be sold in that country through the CBU route when the manufacturer starts exporting the bike from India. With this competitive pricing, we can expect the motorcycle to be priced in the range of Rs 1.1-1.15 lakh for the Indian market.
Coming to the details of the Pulsar 200SS, which is still not officially unveiled for the Indian market, the motorcycle is the fully-faired version of the NS200. Carrying over most of the elements from the younger naked sibling, the SS200 features the body kit from the Pulsar SS400. The bike gets dual projector headlamps, DRLS, new OVRMs, clip-on handle-bars and new tail lamps.
The Pulsar SS200 is powered by same 200cc engine that the current NS200 is powered by, which produces 23.5bhp of power and 18.3Nm of torque. There are speculations that Bajaj might offer it with fuel injection and optional ABS for the bike.
Bajaj has only three products in its portfolio for Turkey at this moment - the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (naked sports category), 150 Boxer (premium commuter segment) and the Discover 125 ST (basic commuter class). The SS200 will also be added to the line-up of motorcycles for Turkey. We can also expect the SS200 launch in a couple of months when Bajaj might surprise us by launching the production-ready AS200 (semi-faired 'Adventure Sport' bike) as well.
