Bajaj Motorcycles recently showcased their new range of Pulsars to the Kawasaki Indonesian delegates. The range includes the Pulsar SS200, Pulsar CS400 and the Pulsar AS200. While the exact launch date for the SS200 has not been announced yet, Rushlane says that the SS200 may get a low-cost ABS.
As per the report, the Bajaj Pulsar SS200 will get this low-cost ABS from Bosch. The German technology developer had showcased their low-cost ABS few months ago, which is targeted towards budget but developing markets like India. This low-cost anti-lock braking system uses only one hydraulic brake channel, which controls the front wheel. The system determines the speed of the wheel using a sensor and adjusts the braking pressure accordingly. The actual speed of the vehicle is also continuously measured and taken into account in the system's calculations in order to guarantee maximum vehicle stability.
At the time of launch which will happen in the next few weeks, Bajaj is expected to offer the ABS and non-ABS variants of the Pulsar SS200. Just like all the Bajaj motorcycles, the company will price the Pulsar SS200 quite competitively.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Bajaj Pulsar SS200.
