Just when we had lost hope of seeing the Pulsar SS200 on Indian roads during Diwali, few pictures of the bike have been splashed across the Indian web. This is the first time the Bajaj Pulsar SS200 has been seen without any camouflage and as expected, it looks exactly like its elder sibling – the Pulsar SS400.
The pictures are from a dealer meet that took place in Turkey recently, making us believe that Turkey would be one of the first few markets to get this new fully-faired Pulsar. The Bajaj Pulsar SS200 is based on its naked sibling, the Pulsar NS200, and will be powered by the same 199.5cc engine which produces 23bhp and 18Nm of torque. The Bajaj SS200 gets an aggressively sculpted fuel tank and fairing, dual headlamps, clip-on handlebar and split seats, just like the Pulsar SS400.
We are expecting the Bajaj Pulsar SS200 to come without ABS to keep costs in check. One of the reasons the company hasn’t launched the bike yet is because of the recently launched KTM RC200 and the RC390. The timeline of the Pulsar SS200 is decided in such a way that, it won’t affect the Austrian bikes sales. Bajaj is expected to launch this motorcycle either later next month or early December because it hasn’t showcased the bike to the Indian dealers yet and the training is yet to start.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Bajaj Pulsar SS200.
