Bajaj Auto has recorded a hike of 31 per cent in its two-wheeler sales in December 2018 as compared to the same period in 2017. The company sold 2.98 lakh units last month as opposed to 2.28 lakh units in December 2017. In terms of domestic two-wheeler sales, Bajaj reported a hike of 39 per cent as it climbed from 1.12 lakh units in 2017 to 1.57 lakh units in December 2018.
In Bajaj’s portfolio, the Pulsar series has been the major contributor to the company’s sales. Precisely, the Pulsar 150 has been witnessing a high demand as it fetched 53,524 customers in November 2018 which was up from 26,929 units in November 2017. However, its flagship product, the Dominar 400 saw a considerable downfall in its sales which came down to 170 units in November. A similar decline was showcased by the Discover 125 and the V15 commuter bikes.
Bajaj is all set to launch the ABS-equipped models of its Avenger and Pulsar series bikes. Moreover, it will also introduce an updated version of the Dominar 400 touring motorcycle.
