-Bajaj sells a total of 3.25 lakh motorcycles in August
-Domestic sales at 1.73 lakh units
-Launched the Pulsar 125 recently
Bajaj has registered a 10 per cent decline in sales for August 2019 as the company managed to sell a total 3.25 lakh motorcycles last month. In comparison, it sold 3.62 lakh units in the same month in 2018.
Out of that number, the Indian market contributed to 1.73 lakh sales which is a 21 per cent slump as against the 2.18 lakh motorcycles sold in August last year. Meanwhile, exports grew by 5 per cent with 1.52 lakh units sold overseas last month in comparison to August 2018, wherein Bajaj witnessed a sale of 1.44 lakh motorcycles.
The decline in sales comes as the entire auto industry sees a slowdown. However, with the onset of the festive season in the country, we can expect sales numbers to increase. Meanwhile, Bajaj also launched the Pulsar 125 in India at Rs 64,000 making it the most affordable motorcycle in the Pulsar range.
