Bajaj has registered a 3 per cent decline in sales for July 2019. The Pune-based manufacturer sold 3.22 lakh motorcycles last month as compared to the 3.32 lakh units it sold in July 2018.
In the Indian market, Bajaj sold 1.70 lakh motorcycles in July, which is a 15 per cent decline considering the company’s sales of 2.01 lakh units in the same month last year. Meanwhile, the manufacturer’s export numbers grew by a considerable 15 per cent making up for the slump in sales in India. Bajaj exported 1.51 lakh two-wheelers as against the 1.31 lakh motorcycles it sold overseas in July 2018.
The automotive industry as a whole has seen a decline in the past months. However, with the onset of the festive season in India, we can expect manufacturer’s to witness an increase in sales. In other news, Bajaj has been spotted testing its Urbanite scooter extensively. The company is likely to include petrol-powered as well as electric scooters in the brand with the former being launched first. As for the near future, Bajaj is likely to launch the Pulsar 125 CBS in the country soon.
