If you thought that you will never get to see the Pulsar AS200 in Bajaj showrooms, then you have been proven wrong. Bajaj is completely re-working on the Pulsar AS200 and will be launched whenever it is ready.
This development was confirmed by Eric Vas, president, Bajaj Motorcycles. The Pune-based manufacturer had taken the Pulsar AS200 off the shelves, along with the AS150, due to poor sales. With the ‘Adventure Sports’ tag, Bajaj thought it will be able to sell additional units to the Indian customers. However, there was nothing adventure about these bikes. It didn’t get any increased ground clearance, nor did it had long travel suspension. It only got a new semi-fairing to differentiate it from the naked model and was also equipped projector headlamps.
During our interactions with Bajaj representatives, we found out that the re-worked Pulsar AS200 is touted to be more purposeful. We hope Bajaj actually creates a proper adventure bike and price it competitively.
