- Domestic sales cross 2 lakh units
- Exports jump by 13 per cent
- Platina, CT100 and Pulsar 150 spearhead growth
Bajaj has recorded a 24 per cent jump in domestic two-wheeler sales in April 2018, as compared to the corresponding month in 2017. The company sold just over 2 lakh motorcycles in the last month, cementing its position as the fourth largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country.
Bajaj sold over two lakh motorcycles in the domestic market in April 2018 as compared to the 1.61 lakh motorcycles it had managed in April 2017. The growth in export numbers was a little lower, as the company shipped off 1.48 lakh motorcycles as compared to 1.32 lakh units in April 2017. This marks a 13 per cent growth. Overall, Bajaj reported a 19 per cent growth in sales numbers.
Bajaj sales have been rapidly growing in the last few months. While the Platina and the CT100 are the top money-spinners, the Pulsar 150 has also been consistently raking in good numbers. The company recently launched a sportier variant of this premium commuter, called as the Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc. This should help cement Pulsar 150’s position as the highest-selling 150cc motorcycle in India.
