Bajaj Auto Limited have had an overall growth of almost 30 per cent since February of 2015. The Avenger and the CT100 models have been the key sellers for Bajaj. Furthermore, more than 50 per cent of Bajaj’s sales figures have come from exports.
The CT100 was introduced as an entry-level commuter motorcycle, after a span of over nine years. The new CT100 has been targeted at the rural customers, who are looking for a hassle-free low-maintenance motorcycle with high fuel efficiency. This motorcycle has been a tremendous success for Bajaj as it is their highest selling model at almost 43,000 units for February this year.
Second up is the Avenger, Bajaj have given the Avenger a host of new features to make the bike look fresh and new. The motorcycles gets new alloy wheels, black rubber bellow on the front forks, a new grab rail, a new silencer and the matte black paint. This refreshed Avenger has seen a year-on-year sales growth of 254 per cent. Another model that has more than doubled in year-on-year sales for Bajaj is the Discover 125.
Bajaj is also the country’s biggest two-wheeler exporter and enjoys a cult following in several international markets like Indonesia and other Latin American countries. Which is one of the reasons why more than 50 per cent of Bajaj’s sales figures have come from exports.
