Bajaj Auto will be focusing more on the Discover motorcycle range this fiscal year by launching six new models in the range. With the move, it is likely that the Pune based two-wheeler major is aiming to gain additional market share and provide competition to Honda two wheelers.
The first four new Discover motorcycles will be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000. This is the price bracket where most of the entry level mass market motorcycles are located. So we can expect new variants of 100cc, 110cc and a basic variant of the 125cc to be launched in this price bracket. The other two Discover motorcycles will be priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000. We can expect a new 125cc and a 150cc motorcycle to be launched in this price bracket.
The company has five motorcycles under its Discover brand; Discover 100, Discover 100T, Discover 125, Discover 125ST and the Discover 150. The new motorcycles which the Pune based manufacturer will be launching is likely to be an updated version of one of these motorcycles or there is also a possibility of launching more than one product in the same price bracket - a way with which a consumer will have more options to choose from.
