Bajaj’s last launch – the V15 has seen good success. The demand for this product is considerably higher and is bound to increase in the next couple of months.
In order to continue the success party, Bajaj will launch two new motorcycles in the next one year under the same V brand. This development was confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Motorcycles. The second V bike in question will be launched in November, followed by the third V motorcycle by June 2017. While the top honcho was tight-lipped about these bikes, we believe it could be a 125cc and a 150cc version.
Why do we say that? Bajaj is clear that with the help of the V brand, it wants to bridge the gap between the Discover and Pulsar range of bikes. So in a way, it’s positioning the V bikes in the executive commuter segment. This way it makes sense to have a V bike in the 125cc that’ll help Bajaj to take on the Honda CB Shine and the Hero Glamour directly by undercutting the pricing. So there’s a high chance of the November launch to be of a 125cc V bike. The third product could be another 150cc that’ll help Bajaj strengthen its 150cc line-up.
We contacted Bajaj regarding this news, however, they declined to comment.
