Bajaj Auto will launch an all-new 100cc motorcycle in January, which will be the most advanced 100cc motorcycle in the world. This motorcycle is also expected to be the most expensive in its segment in the country.
The new 100cc motorcycle may be based on Pulsar 200NS platform that features triple spark technology and mono suspension. The motorcycle will also have a digital instrumentation and disc brakes in the front – another new to the segment.
The Discover and the Platina are the two models currently in Bajaj’s 100cc portfolio and are priced between Rs 38,000 and Rs 45,000. We expect the price of this new motorcycle to be around Rs 50,000 given the new technologies that will be on offer.
Currently the 100cc market is led by Hero’s Splendor followed by Honda’s Dream Yuga. Bajaj expects to see a jump in sales and market share with this model, which will directly help them stay ahead of their Japanese rival.
