Bajaj has decided to expand its e-scooter line-up by introducing the Chetak 2903. Currently, there’s a Chetak 2901 which is the most affordable in the portfolio.
The Chetak 2903 is likely to be positioned above the 2901 variant, as there’s a gap of almost Rs 22,000 between the 2901 and the Urbane variant. Regarding features, the 2903 will receive a bit more than the 2901 as the company needs to justify the price tag. The overall aesthetics will remain unchanged, but there’s a chance of new colours being introduced.
As for as performance, the Chetak 2903 would get the same 2.9kWh battery pack that offers an ARAI-certified range of 123km on a single charge. That said, the real-world range is expected to be around 90-100km. The scooter uses a 4kw electric motor with a top speed of 63kmph. While the 2901 variant doesn't offer fast charging, the 2903 could offer that feature.
The new Chetak 2903 scooter is likely to have a price tag of around Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch is expected to take place in a few weeks.
