Few weeks ago KTM India site updated the status of the Duke 390 from “Not available in India” to “Coming soon to India”. Now we have got confirmed reports that the Duke 390 will be launched in India by March.
Joseph Sebastian, business head, KTM India said to a MyRepublica, “We are hopeful that KTM Duke 390, the upgraded version of KTM Duke 200, will enter the Nepali market by the end of May, as the bike is set to be launched in India within March,”
The Duke 390 was unveiled to the world during the EICMA event, Italy. This motorcycle will be made in India and is already in sale in European market. The Duke 390 is powered by 390cc single cylinder which develops peak power of 45bhp and 35Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled engine is mated to six- speed gearbox and also features an advanced fuel injection.
We are expecting the Duke 390 to be priced between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 2 lakh which might take away some sales from Honda CBR 250R. Also, expect the motorcycle to be launched in two variants, ABS and without-ABS.
