Bajaj Auto will launch its first fully-faired motorcycle - the Pulsar RS200 on March 26. After unveiling the Pulsar SS200 in the international markets like Cambodia and Turkey, Bajaj is finally launching it here with a different name – Pulsar RS200.
The Pulsar RS200 is built around the tubular space frame from the Pulsar 200NS and is powered by the same 199.5cc single-cylinder triple spark engine. This engine produces 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. Expect Bajaj to offer ABS as an option on this motorcycle.
It might use the same suspension from the Pulsar 200NS and is expected to sport shorter gearing as compared to the Pulsar 200NS. It will be equipped with twin projector headlamps, jazzy tail lamps, but the same instrument cluster as the Pulsar 200NS.
The Pulsar RS200 will compete with motorcycles like Yamaha YZF-R15 and the Honda CBR 150 R. Expect Bajaj to price it in the range of 1.05-1.10 lakh, undercutting its rivals by a significant amount.
