Bajaj Motorcycles will offer the V12 with a front disc brake option. Currently, the V12 is sold with drum brakes only.
The company hasn’t given any timeline for the launch of this version but said that the V12 will eventually get the disc brake option. As per the company, the current market doesn’t demand a disc brake for this 125cc motorcycle. In fact, the company is ready to get this version to product line anytime.
The V12 carries the same design cues that we see on the V15. It gets the same components and the paint schemes as its elder sibling. Powering this motorcycle is a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 10.5bhp at 7500rpm and maximum torque of 11Nm at 5500rpm. This motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
While the V12 is more powerful and better equipped than most of its competitors, it will be interesting to see if the INS Vikrant connection will help Bajaj extend its market share in this overcrowded segment. We’re expecting Bajaj to launch the disc brake version when the demand for the V12 slows down or maybe just before the beginning of the festive season. The company will demand a premium of Rs 1500 for this version.
