Bajaj plans to ramp up the production of the Pulsar RS 200 for the Indian market owing to huge demand. The motorcycle has met the sales target of the company and in fact, the demand has now grown beyond their expectations.
The company had set an initial target of selling 2,500 units of the Pulsar RS 200, which has been easily met. Now to cope with the demand of the fully-faired 200cc motorcycle, the company will boost the production capacity to be able to deliver the motorcycle to prospective customers faster. At present, the company's manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune produces 1,700 units of the RS 200 and this number will be increased to 4,000 units per month.
The Pulsar RS 200 is Bajaj's first fully-faired motorcycle and has already tasted a fair bit of success with such good sales figures within a short span of time. The motorcycle is powered by a 24bhp 200cc mill and features dual projector headlamps, DRLS, clip-on handle-bars and off-beat styled tail lamps. With the RS 200, Bajaj has offered Indian consumers an attractive and competitive product at an aggressive price in the budget friendly performance motorcycle segment.
