A couple of weeks ago, we told you about Bajaj’s plan of relaunching the Pulsar NS200. The earlier plan was to launch the bike in December but it looks like the company has postponed the launch by a month.
The updated Pulsar NS200 is expected to get new paint schemes and decals. However, the major addition will be the single-channel ABS and BS-IV compliant engine. Bajaj won’t be changing the power output of this naked motorcycle. The main reason of the ABS inclusion is because of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. This motorcycle has been in good demand and having an ABS equipped Pulsar NS200 might help the company take some sales away from TVS. To keep the pricing competitive, Bajaj won’t be equipping the bike with fuel-injection.
Bajaj is expecting the update NS200 might help them get back in the 200cc game. The Pulsar AS200 too, didn’t work for them and the result was less bikes were being rolled out from the Chakan plant.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the updated Pulsar NS200.
