Bajaj is going to launch updated versions of the Platina and V ahead of the festive season. The commuter bikes are likely to get new paint schemes to give them a fresh look.
The Platina is one of the highest selling motorcycles in Bajaj’s range. The motorcycle is currently available in a single variant and there is a possibility that the company will add a more affordable variant to the line-up, with spoke wheels. This variant should be priced at around Rs 43,000 (ex-showroom). It should also get new paint schemes. The V range consists of two motorcycles – the V12 and V15. We can expect these to get new paint schemes.
The V15 set the cash registers ringing when it was launched in India last year, with a monthly sales of more than 35,000 units. However, the numbers have plummeted in the last few months. The update should give the bike a shot in the arm and help boost sales numbers again.
