Bajaj hikes prices of its motorcycle range by up to Rs 500

Bajaj Auto has hiked prices of its entire motorcycle range by up to Rs 500. It has attributed the hike in prices to freight charge and other operational expenditure.

"We have increased prices between Rs 300 to Rs 500, effective April 12 to take care of increased logistics and other costs." said K Srinivas, president, motorcycle business, Bajaj Auto.

There may be a possibility that Bajaj will increase the price again, as government has authorised oil firms to increase the diesel price by 40-50 paise every month till the entire loss on diesel is completely eliminated.
