Bajaj is going to introduce a disc brake variant of the V12 commuter bike, priced at Rs 64,249 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
There aren’t any visual differences between the standard Bajaj V12 and the new variant, apart from the front disc brake. It gets the same bulky body proportions, sculpted fuel tank, quirky chrome-rimmed headlamp, a beefy exhaust and a removable plastic cowl for the rear seat. Powering the bike is a 125cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 10.5bhp and 11Nm of torque through a five-speed gearbox. While the rear wheel gets the same 130mm drum brake, the front wheel gets a 240mm disc brake similar to the one on the V15.
The disc brake version is Rs 3,115 pricier that the standard V12. We expect deliveries of the motorcycle to commence in the next couple of weeks.
