The V12 Disc is the latest addition to Bajaj’s V range of premium commuter bikes. Positioned between the Discover 125 and the V15, the V12 Disc is aimed at customers looking for a distinctive, and fuel-efficient commuter motorcycle. Here is a photo gallery of the Bajaj V12 Disc -
The V12 Disc gets a retro look thanks to the chrome-rimmed headlamp and tail lamp, sculpted fuel tank, low-slung stance and the rest of the bodywork.
The V12 disc gets a raised handlebar, low-slung seating and the neutral-set foot pegs which offer an upright riding position.
Like the V15, the V12 Disc gets a café racer styled removable plastic cowl for the pillion seat, which transforms the motorcycle into a single-seater.
The 13-litre fuel tank of the V12 Disc contains a small percentage of the recycled metal from Indian Navy’s first aircraft carrier, the INS Vikrant.
The instrument cluster is retro and basic. While its competitors have started offering digital display, the V12 Disc doesn’t even get a trip meter.
It gets a 124cc single-cylinder engine delivering 10.5bhp and 11Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox with an all up pattern.
The V12 Disc rides on an 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. Suspension duties are performed by 30mm telescopic front forks and dual springs in the rear.
While the entry-level variant still gets drum brakes at both ends, the V12 Disc gets a 240mm front disc brake for an additional Rs 2,900.
