Bajaj has commenced deliveries of the V15 commuter motorcycle to customers across the country. The announcement was made during an event in Mumbai, where Bajaj flagged off of ‘The Invincible Ride’ to commemorate Martyr’s Day.
The Bajaj V15 is a new commuter motorcycle, whose claim to fame is its connection to the country’s first aircraft carrier – the INS Vikrant. When INS Vikrant was decommissioned and eventually dismantled, Bajaj purchased the scrap metal, recycling it to be used for making the V15’s fuel tank. As a part of The Invincible Ride, officers from the Indian Navy will ride the new Bajaj V15 to 23 Chattrapati Shivaji’s forts across Maharashtra.
The customers who had booked the Bajaj V15 between March 10 and March 20 will start receiving the delivery of their motorcycle from today. Those who paid the token after March 20 though, might have to endure a waiting period. Priced at Rs 64,820 (ex-showroom Mumbai), the Bajaj V15 competes with other budget 150cc commuter bikes like the Hero Hunk and the Yamaha SZ-RR.
