Bajaj Motorcycles has finally showcased their new brand V, with unveil of the V15. Made from the metal of INS Vikrant - India’s first aircraft carrier, the Bajaj V15 is expected to change Bajaj’s fortune in the commuter segment. While the official deliveries is yet to begin, we bring you a detailed picture gallery of the new Bajaj V15.
Bajaj melted the metal from the INS Vikrant and used it to up make the fuel tank of the V15. It did this to pay a tribute to the iconic aircraft carrier.
The V15 gets a new 150cc single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 11.83bhp at 7500rpm and torque hits 12Nm at 3000rpm and peaks at 13Nm at 5500rpm.
The design of the V15 is very muscular with a big fuel tank, beefy front forks, wider rear tyre and a big exhaust.
The instrument cluster is simple but looks nice and is easily the best one in the commuter segment. When the bike has enough fuel, the indicator stays green. The indicator goes red if there is less fuel.
The V15 is a commuter bike but has the Avenger resemblance, thanks to the 90/90-18 tyre in the front and 120/80-16 tyre at the rear.
One of the unique features of the V15 is the removable rear cowl, which can convert the bike into a trendy single seater in less than a minute.
The deliveries for the V15 will begin in March and will be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
