- Triumph 250cc bike launch delayed
- Delay due to change in design
- Likely to be launched in late 2023
The famous alliance of Bajaj and Triumph is in the news again. One of the first products from this partnership is likely to be launched later this year — after almost a year of delay.
According to a report, the launch of the bikes has been delayed due to some changes in design. Sadly, there aren’t many details on the nature of these changes that the Triumph bikes have gone through. From the spy hosts, it is clear that both companies have readied a range of motorcycles. These bikes are rumoured to be powered by 250cc and 400cc engines. Both these engines may have been borrowed from KTM’s current line-up.
Till now, two Triumph versions have been spotted — a modern retro and a scrambler. This makes us believe that these bikes will be the first ones to make a global debut, followed by more bikes from the family. However, it is still not clear whether the Indian market will get the 250cc versions first or the 400s. The latter models are likely to be primarily targeted at European markets. The 250cc makes more sense for the Indian market due to the price points.
We expect these bikes to debut globally much before the 2023 EICMA. Post-unveil, the manufacturing will begin at Bajaj’s Chakan plant, followed by a year-end launch in India. The global markets could see these bikes in showrooms in early 2024.
