The first motorcycle from Bajaj and Triumph’s alliance has been delayed. This development was revealed by Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto.
The top honcho said that there have been a few months of delay on this project due to the current pandemic. The bike was earlier planned to launch in 2022 but it looks like it could be postponed to 2023. Both the brands have been working on this new motorcycle platform for two years now.
According to the top honcho, this bike will be made in India with almost 99 per cent localization. The sales and marketing will be taken care of Bajaj in India and also in a few other export markets, just like it does for KTM.
This upcoming motorcycle that will take on the Royal Enfields will carry a sub Rs 2 lakh ex-showroom price that will also make it compete with the recently launched Honda CB350.
