Honda recently announced that they began dispatching the first batch of the Navi to dealerships. Launched at the 2016 Auto Expo at a price tag of Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), the base model of mini bike from Honda will cost over Rs 50,000 on road in Mumbai.
A select dealership recently got the price list and started calling customers who have booked the Navi through their dealership. Someone from the BikeWale team who has booked the base model of the motorcycle received a call regarding the price and whether they would like to continue keeping their spot open for the bike. The spokesperson from dealership gave an on-road price figure of Rs 51,327 which includes ‘accessories’ like a side-stand, leg-guard and a number plate.
When asked how much it would cost without the accessories the dealership said Rs 46,622. Which means, Honda is charging Rs 5,000 for essentials like the side-stand, leg-guard and a number plate. This on-road price of Rs 51,327 is in Virar which sits just outside Mumbai RTO. That means, one can expect the price to increase further in major cities.
The Navi will also be available in three special editions - Navi street, Navi adventure and the Navi off-road. Considering the on -road price of the base variant to be over half a lakh, these special edition models will easily cross the Rs 60,000 mark.
