Benelli India has started the bookings for its upcoming motorcycle, the 502C cruiser ahead of its launch. The middleweight model will be launched in India by the end of July 2021. Here we tell you what to expect from the new Benelli 502C Cruiser.
Design
The middleweight cruiser from the Chinese-owned Italian two-wheeler brand resembles the Ducati XDiavel. The styling cues comprise of a skull-shaped headlight, a 21.5-litre fuel tank, step-up saddle, and twin-pod exhaust canister. The exhaust pipes feature a black tip while the rear-fender-mounted numberplate and turn indicators give a minimalistic and clean look to the tail section of the motorcycle. The footpeg position is adjustable which should let the riders customise the rider’s triangle as per their convenience. Benelli India will offer the 502C cruiser in two colours – Glossy Black and Matte Cognac Red.
Features
The feature list on the upcoming Benelli 502C cruiser will include full LED lighting and a fully-digital instrument cluster. While the console packs a wide range of information, it misses on Bluetooth connectivity function. The safety net on the motorcycle will include a dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The upcoming 502C will use a BS6-compliant 500cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46.8bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The motorcycle is built around a trellis frame and uses telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. The braking setup, which uses Brembo-sourced callipers, includes twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
Expected Price
While the bookings for the motorcycle have commenced for a token amount of Rs 10,000, the company is yet to announce its price. We expect the new Benelli 502C to arrive in the Rs 4.50-5.00 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
