Benelli India has announced the commencement of the pre-bookings for its upcoming motorcycle, the 502c ahead of its launch. The upcoming cruiser will be launched in the Indian market by the end of July 2021. Interested buyers can pre-book the motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 10,000. The new middleweight cruiser from the Benelli will rival the Kawasaki Vulcan S in the Indian market.
The styling cues on the new Benelli 502c cruiser include a low-slung headlight, a 21.5-litre fuel tank, step-up saddle, twin-pod exhaust canister, and a rear-fender-mounted numberplate. The feature list comprises full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and 17-inch wheels on both ends.
The motorcycle is built around a trellis frame. Mechanical specifications include a 500cc parallel-twin engine that also powers the Leoncino 500 and the TRK 502. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the motor produces 46.8bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. The braking duties are handled by twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
