The bike is named the BJ600 GS and uses the same part-aluminum, part steel frame and engine as the TNT 600i, which is sold in India. It also features inverted forks similar to the latter. Benelli’s prototype also features a built-in stereo system.
The design is similar to the patents revealed for Benelli’s 1200cc shaft-drive tourer, complete with the same headlight shape, panniers and topbox. Parts such as the electrically adjustable visor appear to be identical to the one on the 1200cc bike.
The existing Benelli 600 is sold under a variety of names worldwide – BN600, BJ600 and is called the TNT 600i in India when in streetbike form - the tourer is called the TNT 600GT. It uses a 600cc, in-line 4 cylinder engine which churns out 82.70bhp at 11,500rpm and 54.60Nm of torque at 10,500rpm.
