Benelli has launched its most affordable offering, the Imperiale 400 in India at Rs1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). The motorcycle takes the fight directly to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa Standard in the country. While you can find the five unique features of the motorcycle in our other story, here are detailed images of the Imperiale 400.
The Imperiale 400’s styling has been borrowed from classic motorcycles. So it sports a round headlamp and turn indicators along with a peanut-shaped tank and split-seats to complete its look.
Further adding to the retro appeal is the chrome components. The bike gets a chrome headlamp and tail lamp cowl, chrome mirrors and some more chrome on the fork bottles and levers.
However, unlike the international model, the 373cc, single-cylinder motor is black finished. The motor which is housed in a double-cradle frame also produces slightly higher 20.7bhp of power and 29Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 comes equipped with a twin-pod instrument cluster that offers an analogue speedometer and tachometer along with a small LCD display and various tell-tale lights.
The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel shod with 100/90 and 130/90 section tyres respectively. For suspension duties, the Imperiale 400 employs 41mm telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear which are pre-load adjustable.
Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of a 300mm disc brake up front and a 240mm brake at the rear assisted by dual-channel ABS.
Benelli is offering the Imperiale 400 in three colour options of black, red and silver. While the different colours feature on the tank, the bike’s side panels and fenders are finished in black.
