Benelli has launched the TNT 600GT in India for 5.62 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Basically a touring version of the 600i Street Fighter, it combines all the benefits of the 600i along with the good looks that come from the basic design of a tourer motorcycle.
The fascia and side profile reveals a muscular stance thanks to the vertically stacked sporty headlamp, semi-faired design and low slung stance. The rear gets an LED tail lamp and indicators cluster, panniers and typical touring type chunky rear-tyre.
The BN 600GT is powered by a 600cc inline four-cylinder engine delivering 80bhp@ 11,000rpm and 55Nm of torque@ 8,000rpm. The front part of the BN 600 GT’s chassis is made of a steel trestle while the rear gets aluminum alloy casting. The motorcycle rides on 50mm upside-down front fork suspension and aluminium alloy swingarm with a monoshock suspension at the rear. Stopping power comes courtesy 320mm twin floating discs in the front with radial calipers while at the rear it is a 260mm single disc with twin calipers.
It is being brought to India via the CKD route and is being assembled at DSK’s facility outside of Pune. The bike comes in three colour schemes: bianco(white), verde army (matte green) and nero (black). It competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 in the mid-size tourer range.
