Benelli has launched the Leoncino 250 in India with a price tag of Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). While bookings have begun, the company will commence deliveries of the motorcycle by the end of this month. We bring to you details of the Leoncino 250 through this image gallery.
The Leoncino 250 sports a neo-retro styling widely inspired by its bigger sibling, the Leoncino 500.
It sports an oval, full-LED headlamp with DRL, LED turn indicators and a cylindrical tail lamp.
Moreover, the tear-drop shaped fuel-tank, single-piece seat and the short tail section complete the Leoncino’s scrambler look.
The Leoncino comes with an LCD instrument cluster with a blue background. The unit also has tell-tale lights stacked vertically.
Under the tubular trellis frame is a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 26.8bhp of power at 10,500rpm and 21Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties are carried out by 41mm inverted forks for the front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 280mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
The Benelli Leoncino 250 competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 500 and the Thunderbird X in the country. Although around its price range you could also have the KTM 390 Duke and the Honda CB300R.
