Benelli now has the Leoncino 250 in its Indian line-up. The scrambler-styled motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). However, if you are looking for other options in the price range, there are four motorcycles to consider. Here what the grid looks like-
Honda CB300R
If you are on the lookout for a retro-styled motorcycle, there is the Honda CB300R which carries a sticker price of Rs 2.41 lakh. The motorcycle sports a round, full-LED headlamp that gives it the old-school look. However, the rest of its design is inspired by the bigger CB1000R. The CB300R draws power from a 286cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 30bhp of power and 27.4Nm of torque. Honda has equipped the motorcycle with an IMU-based cornering ABS that is usually found on big bikes.
KTM 390 Duke
There also is the KTM 390 Duke that would set you back by Rs 2.48 lakh. Sporting a distinctively designed, full-LED headlamp along with aggressively styled bodywork, the 390 Duke manages to stand out in a crowd. The main highlight of the streetfighter is its 373cc, single-cylinder engine. The motor churns out 42bhp of power and 37Nm of torque. In terms of electronics, the Duke comes with a TFT display and ride modes which also includes a ‘Supermoto’ mode that disengages the ABS at the rear.
KTM RC 390
The Austrian manufacturer also offers a fully-faired version of the 390 Duke called the RC 390 which costs Rs 2.44 lakh. The RC 390 isn’t just another streetfighter fitted with a fairing. It gets clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot pegs, a slimmer tank and an upswept pillion seat to complete its track-ready character. Moreover, the RC 390 comes powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder as the 390 Duke which produces 42bhp and 37Nm.
Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 uses a 648cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp of power and 52Nm of torque. And with an aggressive price of Rs 2.50 lakh, the Interceptor 650 is the most affordable middleweight motorcycle you can buy. Staying true to Royal Enfield roots, the motorcycle gets a classic-inspired design and considerable amount of chrome (on the standard colour options).
