The new Benelli Leoncino 800, which made a debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, has been launched in the Chinese market. The middleweight motorcycle is available in two variants – alloy wheel and cross wire-spoke wheel.
The alloy wheel model is priced at 55,800 Chinese Yuan (Rs 6.01 lakh) while the wire-spoke wheel version is available at 59,800 Chinese Yuan (Rs 6.44 lakh). The cross wire-spoke wheels are tubeless tyre compatible.
The Leoncino 800 uses a tubular truss frame. The motorcycle is equipped with features like full LED lighting, oval-shaped LED headlight, TFT instrument console, 15-litre fuel tank, step-up saddle, a Lion of Pesaro motif on the front fender and a centre stand.
The 754cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, eight-valve, DOHC engine on the China-spec motorcycle produces 75bhp at 9,000rpm and 67Nm of maximum torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware comprises of Marzocchi upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the back to perform the shock absorption tasks. Braking setup includes 320mm dual-discs with four-piston radial monobloc callipers at the front and a 260mm single rear rotor with a double-piston calliper at the back.
While the motorcycle has arrived in China, the Indian launch details are unavailable yet.
