- Features retro styling cues
- Powered by a single-cylinder engine
- Unlikely to be launched here any time soon
Benelli has taken the wraps off a new small-capacity cruiser at the 2018 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. Christened as the Benelli Motobi 200 Evo, it is an equivalent of the Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and the UM Renegade Duty 230.
The Motobi 200 Evo gets a blend of retro and modern styling cues, quite similar to an urban cruiser. The bright fuel tank contrasts well with the blacked out frame, engine, exhaust and the wheels. There are a few aluminium accents too in the side panels and the exhaust. The round single-pod console integrates a digital display.
At the heart of the Motobi 200 Evo is a 197cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine with an oil-cooler. It churns out 13.9Nm of torque and is mated to five-speed transmission. It rides on telescopic front forks and dual-spring rear shocks. The brake setup consists of a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc.
For now, the Motobi 200 Evo will be sold only in the Indonesian market and it is unlikely that we will get to see it in India any time soon. Nevertheless, the Italian brand does plan to launch a quarter-litre Leoncino and the TRK in India by next year.
