- 302S will make it to India next year
- Will be assembled in India
- Will replace the TNT 300
The Benelli 302S will be one of the first launches for next year. This motorcycle will replace the TNT 300 that has been in the Indian market since the last three years.
Unveiled at the 2017 EICMA, the 302S is the fancier and sharper version of the TNT 300. It gets a LED headlamp unit and LED DRLs on the tank extensions. The body panels are more modern and shaper giving it a distinctive look.
The Benelli 302S is built around a steel trestle frame which houses the 300cc parallel-twin engine. This motor produces 37.5bhp at 11,000rpm and 25.6Nm of torque at 9,750rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive. Stopping power comes from twin 260 mm petal discs up front and a single 240mm petal disc at the rear. The bike gets dual-channel ABS as standard.
It gets 41mm inverted forks for the front and a preload adjustable monoshock for the rear. The 302S gets a beefy 160mm rear tyre and a 120mm front tyre that are wrapped on 17-inch alloys. It gets a large 16-litre fuel tank which is quite unusual for a motorcycle in this segment.
Just like most of the Benelli motorcycles, the 302S will be assembled in India. It is likely to get a marginal price hike but will be priced below the Kawasaki Z250.
