Benelli to launch nine new showrooms this year

Benelli is planning to make the most of the upcoming festive season by going aggressive with its network expansion plans. The Italian marque has announced its plans of launching nine new showrooms across the country before the end of this year. 

During the inauguration of a Benelli Mumbai showroom, a senior DSK Motowheels executive revealed that they are planning to launch four more showrooms in Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Mumbai and Vadodara in this month. The remaining five showrooms will be opened in the next month to coincide with the festive season. Since making its foray in the Indian market about 18 months ago, Benelli has been aggressively expanding its reach across the country, especially in Tier 2 cities. These nine new touch points will take Benelli’s total showroom count to 26. 

Benelli currently has six models in its portfolio, all of which are locally assembled at DSK Motowheels’ facility in Wai, Maharashtra. The local assembly has given Benelli an edge in terms of pricing as the CKD models fall under a lower tax bracket. The company has so far sold over 5,000 motorcycles in the short span making it one of the fastest growing premium bike brands in the country.
