Benelli is going to phase out the entry-level non-ABS version of the TNT 600i, which means that this safety feature will now be available as a standard fitment. While a few dealers do have existing stock of the non-ABS version, the rest have stopped accepting bookings for this model.
The ABS version of the Benelli TNT 600i retails at Rs 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 30,000 more than the non-ABS model. However, given the benefits of this safety feature and the relatively small percentage of the bump in sticker price, it is well worth the extra money. As customers too seem to have an affinity towards ABS equipped motorcycles, Benelli has now decided to discontinue the standard version altogether.
Though Benelli did take its own time in coming up with ABS for the TNT 600i, it is unquestionably a sensible move to offer it as standard. Benelli is currently waiting for the existing stock to be exhausted before it makes the official announcement, though a few dealers have already run out of stock of this model. We can also expect the rest of the Benelli range to eventually get ABS as a standard feature.
