DSK Motowheels will finally launch the much awaited, the Benelli Tornado 302R on July 25. The bookings for this fully-faired motorcycle had already begun last month.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha YZF-R3 rival was supposed to hit the market early this year, however, the company decided to postpone the plan and directly launch the BS-IV model. The company doesn’t plan to undercut its rivals by a very big margin as it feels the Tornado 302R has the right set of features and performance that the buyers will appreciate.
The Tornado 302R gets the same fire power as the TNT 300. The 300cc parallel-twin cylinder engine produces 36bhp at 12,000rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Transmission is a six-speed one. Built around a trestle frame, the Tornado features 41mm upside down forks up front and on the rear swing arm, a monoshock with adjustable preload. It sports Metzeler tyres, alloy wheels, a 260mm disc up front and a 240mm disc for the rear.
We’re expecting a price tag of around Rs 3.3 lakh for this Benelli. The deliveries of the bike will begin soon after the launch.
