Benelli India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new TRK 251 at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 2.51 lakh. The bookings for the motorcycle are already open for a token amount of Rs 6,000. This entry-level TRK model will rival the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the BMW G 310 GS.
In terms of design, the new TRK 251 draws styling cues from the TRK 502. Thus, it features a twin-pod headlight, a nose-like fender, a semi-fairing with integrated front turn indicators, a tall windscreen, an 18-litre fuel tank, and a split-style saddle. The feature list includes full-LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS.
The mechanical specifications include a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is paired to a six-speed gearbox and produces 25.4bhp of power at 9,250rpm and 21.1Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
The hardware on the motorcycle includes upside-down front forks, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, a 280mm disc at the front, and a 240mm rotor at the back. The TRK 251 rides on 17-inch wheels on both ends. It boasts a seat height of 800mm and a ground clearance of 170mm. This quarter-litre adventure tourer is available in three colours – Glossy White, Glossy Black, and Glossy Grey.
