- Benelli unveils 2020 TRK 502 and 502 X
- Both bikes get new graphics and an added colour option
- Receive minor feature upgrades as well
Benelli had setup a sizeable arena at the 2019 EICMA with most of its models showcased at the event. Amidst this array of bikes, the company also unveiled the 2020 edition of its adventure-touring twins, the TRK 502 and the 502 X. Both bikes have received minor updates on the feature front along with subtle cosmetic changes.
Starting with the aesthetic upgrades, the TRK twins are now adorned with more rugged-looking graphics placed on the front beak, fuel tank, tank extensions and rear cowl. The motorcycles also get an added colour option of blue, besides the existing paint schemes of white, red and anthracite grey. Other changes include new switchgear which is now backlit along with new handlebar grips and redesigned rear view mirrors. Moreover, the clutch lever is adjustable now while the seat has been tweaked for more space and comfort. Rounding off the changes is the redesigned rear luggage rack.
The TRK 502 and 502 X remain unchanged in terms of engine and cycle parts. Powering the bikes is a 500cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which churns out 46.8bhp and 46Nm. Notably, the engine is not yet Euro 5 compliant. Underpinned by a steel trellis frame, the motorcycle is suspended by upside down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is taken care of twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. While the standard variant rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, the X trim rides on 19/17-inch spoke wheel combination as it is an off-road-oriented model.
While Benelli has introduced the 2020 TRK 502 twins as Euro 4 models for the international markets, expect the brand to bring these changes along with the BS-VI update in India. Currently, while the TRK 502 retails at Rs 5.10 lakhs, the X sibling is pegged at Rs 5.50 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom).
