- Benelli TRK 251 prices increased in India
- Demands a premium of Rs 3,000 now
- Remains unchanged mechanically
Benelli has recently increased the prices of its quarter-litre adventure tourer, the TRK 251, in India. The motorcycle was launched with prices starting from Rs 2.51 lakh in December last year. With the recent price revision, it has become Rs 3,000 more expensive now. The colour-wise ex-showroom (India) prices of the bike are mentioned below:
Dark Grey: Rs 2.54 lakh
Pure White and Black: Rs 264 lakh
The TRK 251 takes design inspiration from its bigger sibling, the TRK 502. It looks big and appealing with a beak-like front fender, a tall windscreen, a split-type headlamp, beefy side panels, and a big tail rack. However, the feature list isn’t a comprehensive one with basic elements like full-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS.
The motorcycle is more of a touring machine with 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends and a large 18-litre fuel tank. Damping duties are handled by upside-down forks and a monoshock while stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends. As for the engine, a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 25.4bhp of power at 9,250rpm and 21.1Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
The Benelli TRK 251 mainly competes against the KTM 250 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan in India.
