A couple of months ago, we talked about Benelli’s plan to become a leader in the 250cc to 750cc motorcycle segment. In fact, the company confirmed about a new 750cc bike under development and now a couple of pictures of this bike have been leaked on the internet.
The pictures that’ve been leaked by MCN shows it’s a production ready model. The styling of this new Benelli bike will remind you of the Ducati Monster and the Kawasaki ER6n. Instead of going all aggressive and sharp with the design, the Benelli designers and engineers have stuck to a very simple and uncluttered design. The round headlamp, curvy fuel tank and exposed chassis tubes makes this Benelli look quite subtle.
This new motorcycle will be powered by a new 750cc engine that has been codenamed BJ750GS. This engine is expected to churn out close to 100bhp because Benelli also has the 600cc engine 82bhp engine and an 899cc 121bhp. So this new 750cc will bridge the gap between these two engines and will help the company compete with BMW F800R and the upcoming KTM 800cc parallel twin Duke. The tail unit is quite short but is little angular in design. The bike gets a single wide seat for comfortable riding.
The launch plans of this new motorcycle isn’t known yet, but we’re expecting to see a lot of action from Benelli at the 2016 EICMA Show.
